The system of the Locone waterworks is part of the Framework Programme 2003 of the Region Apulia. The design involves also the construction of a new stainless steel water conduit in order to pipe water to the central areas of the Apulia Region, at the North of Bari and Barletta-Andria-Trani, the new province of the Apulia Region. The guided tour, organized by the company Faver SpA, AQP (the company of the Apulian Aqueduct) and the Apulian Section of the Italian Hydrotecnique Association, was attended by about 80 people. The visit was preceded by the introductions of eng. M. Pellegrini (AQP), eng. G. Di Marzo (Faver SpA). The visit was attended also by prof. L. Damiani (Director of the Department of Water Engineering and Chemistry of the Politecnico di Bari), eng. G. Gorgoglione and V. Bacco (Association of the Engineers of the Province BAT), Eng. G.
