On the 6th August 2026 a paper entitled “Interfacial Shear-Layer Dynamics in Partially Obstructed Shallow Flows” was recently published in the prestigious Journal of Fluid Mechanics. The study presents a theoretical model, laboratory experimental results, and numerical simulations concerning a nature-based method that can be used, for example, to intercept microplastics.
