The 1st Earth Systems and Environment Annual Meeting (ESEV 2025)

34

Earth Systems and Environment (ESEV) publishes peer-reviewed original and review articles on the entire range of Earth systems and environment in order to further our understanding of the natural workings and various processes and interactions that govern the Earth systems in response to complex environmental problems caused by natural and human-induced forcings.

ESEV journal disseminates high-quality information on cutting-edge developments in the various research fields of Earth systems and environment based on new methods, theories, and applications. It has a multidisciplinary character, focusing on interrelated scientific topics combining diverse aspects of the Earth systems and environment including:

Climate and atmospheric sciences; Earth and environment related agricultural sciences; natural hazards and engineering; marine sciences; ecology; desertification; pollution; geo-environmental hazards; droughts and floods; hydrosphere, lithosphere and troposphere dynamics; waste management; numerical models of earth systems; geographical information systems; remote sensing; and environmental health, etc.

In order to meaningfully explore these topics and further foster collaborative endeavors, researchers in the environmental Earth science disciplines are invited to contribute their original research and review articles on significant scientific advances in the form of short abstracts to the ESEV Journal Annual Meeting (ESEV-2025). Following the conference, all contributions will be published in the conference proceedings (indexed in Scopus), while the best selected papers will appear in a special issue of the ESEV Journal.

ESEV-25 is committed to contributing positively and constructively to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by publishing cutting-edge research studies focused on addressing environmental issues that hinder sustainable development in its proceedings and special issues. ESEV-25 supports the Sustainable Development Goals by promoting intensive research on these global goals and attempting to address some of society’s most pressing concerns and greatest grand challenges.

From April 28 to 30, 2025, the first ESEV 2025 conference was held in Istanbul, at the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center on the campus of Istanbul Technical University (ITU), with the participation of Professor Michele Mossa.
